Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 F and grease and flour a loaf baking pan.

  2. Heat milk and butter over medium-low heat until butter melts, then stir in maple syrup; remove from heat.

  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.

  4. In a large bowl, combine milk with eggs, then stir in the maple syrup mixture.

  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined, then stir in nuts.

  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for one hour.

  7. Cool bread in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
