Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. Whisk milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.

  3. Stir in pumpkin puree, then mix in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  4. Add bread cubes, raisins, and chopped pecans; toss to coat and submerge, then let stand for 10 minutes.

  5. Spoon the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until a knife inserted into the center is clean.

  6. Let stand for 10 minutes, then cut and serve with caramel sauce, whipped cream, and optional pecans or nutmeg; refrigerate any leftovers within two hours.
