Pulled Pork Macaroni and Cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C).

  2. Start boiling salted water for the macaroni.

  3. Cook macaroni in boiling salted water, then drain and rinse.

  4. Butter a 2 1/2- to 3-quart baking dish.

  5. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then whisk in flour for 2 minutes.

  6. Gradually add milk, whisking constantly, and cook until the sauce is thickened and smooth.

  7. Stir in ground mustard, salt, pepper, and 2 cups of cheddar cheese until melted.

  8. Combine the drained macaroni with the cheese sauce.

  9. Heat the pulled pork until hot.

  10. Spoon the macaroni and cheese mixture into the prepared baking dish.

  11. Top with the hot pulled pork, then sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese.

  12. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and the cheese is melted.
