Potato-Sausage Breakfast Casserole

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare a 5-6 inch casserole dish.

  2. Shape sausage into a patty, brown it slightly in a skillet, then remove and drain.

  3. Sauté chopped onion and pepper in the same skillet for about 3 minutes.

  4. Season thawed hash browns with salt and pepper, then firmly press into the bottom of the prepared dish.

  5. Place the sausage patty over the hash browns, then spread the sautéed onions and peppers on top.

  6. Sprinkle with cheese.

  7. Whisk together eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and salt, then pour the mixture into the dish.

  8. Bake for 35 minutes until lightly browned and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean; cool for 15 minutes before serving.
