Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook ground pork, breaking it up, until no longer pink, then remove and set aside.

  2. Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet; cook for about 4 minutes until onion is lightly browned. Add garlic and cook for 2 more minutes.

  3. Return pork to the skillet. Stir in ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne, and allspice. Bring to a simmer.

  4. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and add salt if needed.

  5. Serve over split toasted buns.
