Popped Wild Rice Recipe

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium saucepan with a lid over high heat.

  2. Once hot, add vegetable oil and swirl to coat the pan.

  3. Add wild rice and shake to coat with oil.

  4. Cover, reduce heat to medium-high, and shake for about 3 minutes until popping begins.

  5. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue shaking until popping slows.

  6. After about 7 minutes total, when popping stops, remove from heat. Sprinkle with fine sea salt and serve hot.
