Polish Sour Cream Kołaczki Dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a large bowl, cut butter into flour until crumbly, then mix in sour cream to form a dough.

  3. Divide the dough in half, wrap it, and refrigerate for 3 hours.

  4. Roll one dough portion on a floured surface to 1/8-inch thick.

  5. Cut out rounds, place 2 teaspoons of filling in the center, and pinch four sides together to seal; repeat with remaining dough and filling.

  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the bottom edges slightly brown.

  7. Cool cookies on wire racks, then store in an airtight container, dusting with confectioners' sugar just before serving.
