Poached Egg Recipe
A classic, healthy breakfast staple, poached eggs can be prepared perfectly with no added fat for dishes such as eggs Benedict.

Instructions

Fill a large pot with water, add a teaspoon of vinegar or lemon juice and salt if using, then bring to a simmer.

Crack a fresh egg into a strainer, then transfer it to a small bowl.

Gently slide the egg from the bowl into the simmering water.

Cover and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the whites are firm and the yolks are semi-liquid.

Lift the egg from the water with a slotted spoon, drain excess water, and serve immediately.
