Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a loaf pan by greasing and flouring it.

  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in eggs one at a time.

  3. Stir in the pineapple.

  4. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt, then stir in nuts.

  5. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing just until moistened to avoid overmixing.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

  7. Bake for 50 to 65 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  8. Cool in the pan briefly before transferring to a rack to cool completely prior to slicing.
