In a mixer or large bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.

Incorporate butter into the dry mixture until it forms coarse crumbs.

Whisk egg, milk, and vanilla extract separately. Gradually add this wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing on low until just combined and tacky.

Divide the dough into 3 balls, flatten each into 1/2-inch thick discs, then cut each disc into 8 wedges and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly browned; transfer to a cooling rack.

Prepare the glaze by mixing confectioners' sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla bean seeds until thick and spreadable.

Once scones are completely cooled, spread one teaspoon of glaze on each and let harden before storing or freezing.
