Instructions

  1. Combine 2 1/2 ounces gin, 1/2 ounce dry vermouth, and 1/4 to 1/2 ounce olive juice (to taste) in an ice-filled mixing glass.

  2. Stir for at least 30 seconds.

  3. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.

  4. Garnish with 1 or 3 olives.

  5. To make olive brine, place 2 cups green olives in a tight-sealing glass jar and gently press them to release juice.

  6. Separately, combine 2 cups water, 1/2 cup dry vermouth, 2 tablespoons vinegar, and 2 tablespoons salt, mixing well.

  7. Pour this liquid over the olives until completely covered, leaving some air space at the top.

  8. Seal the jar, shake vigorously, and refrigerate for at least one day, shaking again before using the juice.
