Perfect Mashed Potatoes

A straightforward recipe for exceptionally buttery, creamy, and lump-free mashed potatoes.

Instructions

  1. Start boiling quartered potatoes covered by an inch of cold water with a teaspoon of salt.

  2. Once boiling, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender when pierced.

  3. Drain the cooked potatoes.

  4. In the same pot, gently warm the milk and butter until the butter has melted, then remove from heat.

  5. Add the drained potatoes to the pot and mash thoroughly.

  6. Lightly whip the mashed potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
