Perfect Fried Egg Recipe
Achieve perfectly fried eggs using either a basting or steam-frying method, eliminating the need for flipping.

To fry an egg using the basting method, begin by heating 2 to 3 tablespoons of cooking fat in an 8-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat.

Gently slide an egg into the preheated skillet.

Once the bottom of the egg white turns opaque, tilt the pan and repeatedly spoon the hot fat over the egg white until firm, then over the yolk until your desired consistency.

Transfer the basted egg to a plate and season to taste.

Alternatively, for the steam-frying method, heat just enough cooking fat to coat a medium or large nonstick skillet over medium heat.

Place eggs into the hot pan.

Immediately add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water to the pan, cover, and steam for approximately 1 minute, or until the eggs reach your preferred doneness.

Serve the steam-fried eggs seasoned with salt and pepper.
