Instructions

  1. Start boiling 2 tablespoons of water.

  2. Melt 2 tablespoons unsalted butter and 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring, or microwave, stirring every 15 seconds, until smooth.

  3. Sift 1 cup confectioners' sugar into a bowl.

  4. Stir the sifted sugar into the melted chocolate mixture, then slowly mix in the 2 tablespoons of boiling water. Adjust consistency by adding more powdered sugar if thin, or more hot water if thick.

  5. Drizzle the glaze over a cooled baked good and allow it to harden.
