Instructions

  1. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Combine milk, sugars, salt, and corn syrup in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugars dissolve.

  3. Insert a candy thermometer and cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture reaches 234°F.

  4. Remove from heat, stir in butter, and cool to room temperature.

  5. Once cool, stir in vanilla and beat until the mixture is light and creamy.

  6. Stir in chopped nuts, then pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

  7. Refrigerate for 2 hours to set, then cut into 1-inch squares to serve.
