Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450F and prepare a baking sheet.

  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.

  3. Cut lard into the dry ingredients until the mixture is crumbly.

  4. Add milk all at once and mix until the flour is wet, then quickly knead the dough in the bowl.

  5. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll to 1/2-inch thickness.

  6. Cut biscuits with a 2 to 2 1/2 inch cutter and place on the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 12 minutes or until light golden brown.
