Pecan Pie Cobbler

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Place butter in a 2-quart baking dish and melt in the preheated oven for 3-5 minutes.

  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; stir in milk and vanilla extract.

  4. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish.

  5. Evenly sprinkle pecans and brown sugar over the batter.

  6. Slowly pour boiling water over the top; do not stir.

  7. Bake, uncovered, for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

  8. Cool on a wire rack for 30 minutes to allow thickening.

  9. Serve as desired, plain or with toppings.
