Pear Relish With Peppers
A sweet and tangy pear relish features a blend of ground pears, peppers, and onions, preserved with vinegar and spices.

Instructions

Start boiling water in a canner.

Grind pears, bell peppers, and onions in a food processor.

Drain excess liquid from the ground mixture in a colander.

In a large nonreactive kettle, combine vinegar, sugar, salt, pickling spices, and turmeric; bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.

Stir in the drained fruit and vegetable mixture; return to a boil and cook for an additional 15 minutes.

Ladle hot relish into sterilized jars and seal.

Process sealed jars in the boiling-water canner for 15 minutes.
