Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  2. Prepare a tart shell.

  3. Process almond paste, powdered sugar, and butter in a food processor until smooth.

  4. Add eggs to the mixture and process again until smooth.

  5. Pour the almond filling into the prepared tart shell.

  6. Peel, core, and slice pears into 1/2-inch pieces.

  7. Arrange pear slices over the almond filling in a circular pattern, pressing them lightly into the mixture.

  8. Sprinkle pears with lemon juice and then sugar.

  9. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes until the almond filling is set and pears are light brown.

  10. Remove tart from the oven and cool on a wire rack.

  11. Heat jelly in a small saucepan until liquid, then brush over the pears.

  12. Allow the tart to cool completely before serving.
