Peanut Butter Silk Pie

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F if baking the crust.

  2. Combine 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/3 cup melted butter; press the mixture into a 9-inch pie plate.

  3. Chill the crust for 30 minutes, or bake for 7 minutes if a crispier crust is desired.

  4. In a saucepan, cook sugar, chocolate, milk, and corn syrup, stirring occasionally, until it reaches 234 F to 240 F (soft ball stage).

  5. Remove from heat, stir in peanut butter, and beat lightly; pour the fudge into the prepared pie crust and chill thoroughly.

  6. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk.

  7. Fold in whipped topping until well blended.

  8. Spoon the filling over the chilled fudge layer.

  9. Garnish with chocolate curls or chopped peanuts and chill thoroughly before serving.
