Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 F.

  2. Combine popped plain popcorn and peanuts in a large roasting pan and keep warm in the oven.

  3. Butter the bottom and sides of a heavy 1-1/2 quart saucepan.

  4. Combine granulated sugar, honey, and corn syrup in the saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and boil for 2 minutes.

  5. Remove the sugar mixture from heat, then stir in creamy peanut butter and vanilla extract.

  6. Pour the peanut butter coating immediately over the warm popcorn and peanut mixture, stirring to coat completely.

  7. Spread the coated mixture onto baking sheets to cool completely, then separate into bite-sized pieces.

  8. Store in airtight containers or wrap for gifts.
