Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate using a double boiler or microwave until smooth, stirring with a wooden spoon.

  2. Remove from heat, stir in peanut butter, and cool for 5 minutes.

  3. Beat egg yolks, then stir into the chocolate mixture with 1/4 teaspoon salt until glossy.

  4. Whisk egg whites until firm and glossy.

  5. Stir one-third of the egg whites into the chocolate mixture to lighten it.

  6. Gently fold in the remaining egg whites.

  7. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and chill for at least one hour, or overnight.

  8. Before serving, whip cream to soft peaks, spoon onto the mousse, and garnish as desired; serve fresh.
