Peanut Butter Cake With Chocolate Frosting

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 F; grease and flour a 9x13x2-inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, salt, and baking soda.

In a saucepan, heat butter, peanut butter, and milk until melted and well combined.

Stir the hot peanut butter mixture into the dry ingredients.

Whisk eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla together in a small bowl.

Slowly beat the egg mixture into the peanut butter-flour mixture until smooth.

Pour batter into the prepared pan.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean; cool on a rack.

To prepare frosting, melt unsweetened chocolate over simmering water, then cool for 5 minutes.

Combine the cooled chocolate with softened butter and vanilla.

Gradually beat confectioners' sugar into the chocolate mixture on low speed.
