Pasta and Cheese Bake With Spinach

Preheat oven to 350 F and grease an 8-inch square baking dish.

Start boiling salted water, then cook pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse with hot water.

In a large saucepan, heat butter over medium-low, stir in flour until smooth, then add milk and cook, stirring, until thickened.

Stir in basil, salt, and pepper to taste.

Wilt spinach leaves in the sauce, then stir in the hot drained pasta.

Blend in mozzarella cheese, then spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Toss breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the pasta mixture.
