Pan-Seared Saganaki
A traditional Greek appetizer, Saganaki features pan-seared cheese, typically served hot with lemon, ouzo, or wine and crusty bread.

Instructions

Cut cheese into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Moisten each slice with cold water, then dredge in flour, shaking off any excess.

Heat olive oil in a heavy-bottomed frying pan over medium-high heat.

Sear each cheese slice in the hot oil until golden brown on both sides.

Serve hot with lemon wedges and optional fresh parsley.
