Instructions

  1. Trim and halve Brussels sprouts, reserving any detached outer leaves.

  2. Heat oil in a wide skillet over medium-high heat, then place sprout halves face-down, covering with loose leaves.

  3. Brown sprouts for approximately 5 minutes until golden, then flip.

  4. Pour in stock and sprinkle with salt, then cover and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes until the liquid is mostly absorbed.

  5. Swirl butter into the pan, adjusting seasoning with lemon juice and additional salt as desired.

  6. Serve promptly.
