Oven Beer Can Chicken

Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a shallow roasting pan with foil.

Remove chicken innards and let the chicken rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Punch five holes around an empty beverage can's lid, then fill the can halfway with beer or another liquid.

Whisk together brown sugar, paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, garlic powder, sage, cayenne pepper, and cumin for the spice mix.

Season the chicken cavity with salt, then rub the skin with Worcestershire sauce and the prepared spice mix.

Place the chicken upright onto the half-filled can in the roasting pan.

Roast for 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours; remove from the oven and rest for 20 minutes before carving.
