Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.

  2. Warm milk and water in a small saucepan.

  3. Combine 1/3 of the warmed liquid with yeast; let sit 15 minutes until bubbly.

  4. In a large bowl, beat remaining warm liquid with melted butter, salt, and sugar until dissolved.

  5. Stir in beaten eggs and the yeast mixture.

  6. Gradually add flour, beating until a soft dough forms, then stir in any remaining flour by hand if needed.

  7. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth.

  8. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour until doubled.

  9. Punch down the dough.

  10. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness on a floured surface and cut into 3-inch rounds.

  11. Brush each round with melted butter, fold in half, and lightly pinch edges to secure.

  12. Arrange rolls in two greased 9x13-inch pans, cover, and let rise for 45 minutes until doubled.

  13. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

  14. Remove from pans immediately and brush with more melted butter.
