Instructions

  1. Combine butter, 3 cups confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, and orange extract in a mixing bowl until blended.

  2. Add orange zest and 3 tablespoons of fresh orange juice, then beat until smooth and creamy.

  3. Adjust consistency by adding more confectioners' sugar or orange juice as needed, and optionally beat in a few drops of orange food coloring.

  4. Use the frosting on cakes or cupcakes, and refrigerate any covered leftovers for up to one month.
