Old Fashioned Griddle Cakes

Instructions

Preheat a greased griddle to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, sift flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix baking powder and milk.

Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is smooth.

Add melted butter to the batter and mix briefly.

Pour 1/8 of the batter onto the hot griddle for each hotcake.

Cook until each cake is brown on the bottom and bubbles on top, then flip and cook the other side until done.

Remove hotcakes from the griddle when finished.
