Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and butter a shallow 2-quart baking dish.

  2. Combine biscuits and 1 cup milk in a large bowl; let stand 5-10 minutes until softened.

  3. Stir in sugar and the first egg; then blend in the remaining eggs one at a time.

  4. Mix in melted butter, vanilla, and the rest of the milk until well blended.

  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish.

  6. Bake for 40-50 minutes until firm and a knife inserted comes out clean; cool completely.

  7. Slice and serve with syrup or a dessert sauce.
