Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly drain the rice.

  2. Combine the washed rice and 3 cups of water in a pot, then let it sit for 30 minutes.

  3. Cover the pot and bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.

  4. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 30 minutes.

  5. Turn off the heat, keeping the pot covered, and allow it to steam for 10 minutes.

  6. Season the porridge with salt, then spoon into bowls and serve with desired toppings.
