Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F with racks in upper and lower thirds, and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and creamy, about 2 minutes.

  3. Mix in eggs and vanilla until well combined, about 45 seconds.

  4. Add flour, baking soda, rolled oats, ground cinnamon, and salt; mix on low speed until combined.

  5. Fold in chocolate chips.

  6. Refrigerate dough for at least 20 minutes.

  7. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 1.5 inches apart.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are slightly golden brown.

  9. Cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes.

  10. Transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
