Nutter Butter Truffles

Instructions

  1. Crush cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin.

  2. Combine the cookie crumbs with softened cream cheese and peanut butter in a large bowl, mixing until smooth and moldable.

  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.

  4. Refrigerate the balls for at least one hour until firm.

  5. Melt the chocolate candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds.

  6. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, placing it back on the baking sheet.

  7. Immediately sprinkle chopped peanuts on top of each truffle while the chocolate is wet.

  8. Refrigerate the truffles for approximately 20 minutes to set the chocolate.

  9. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, serving at room temperature for optimal taste.
