Mustard Greens With Ham Recipe

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

  2. Add onions and ham shanks; cook, stirring, until onions wilt.

  3. Stir in garlic for 1 minute.

  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.

  5. Gradually add mustard greens, allowing each batch to wilt before adding more.

  6. Reduce heat to medium-low, then stir in Worcestershire and hot pepper sauce.

  7. Cook uncovered for 20 minutes, then cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.

  8. Adjust seasoning with more pepper sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.
