Mukhwas: Indian After-Meal Breath Freshener
An Indian mixture of seeds and sweets, Mukhwas is consumed after meals to assist digestion and provide mouth freshness.

Instructions

Heat a dry pan over medium heat.

Roast aniseed until aromatic, then cool completely.

Separately roast dhania dal and sesame seeds, then cool completely.

If desired, coat cooled sesame seeds with red food color and dhania dal with green, then allow to dry fully.

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to two weeks.
