Moist Applesauce Spice Loaf Cake Recipe

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C, Gas 4) and prepare a 12-cup Bundt pan or two loaf pans by buttering and flouring them.

  2. In a large bowl, beat sugar, applesauce, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

  3. Incorporate flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice until blended.

  4. Fold in dates and chopped walnuts.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pans.

  6. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes on a rack, then remove and cool completely.

  8. Garnish with confectioners' sugar or vanilla glaze.
