Mint Chocolate Bark

Instructions

  1. Cover a baking sheet with foil or waxed paper.

  2. Melt semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

  3. Stir 1/4 tsp peppermint oil into the melted semi-sweet chocolate.

  4. Melt white chocolate in a separate bowl, stirring frequently until smooth.

  5. Add 1/8 tsp peppermint oil and green food coloring with a toothpick to the white chocolate, then stir until a minty green color is achieved.

  6. Spread the semi-sweet chocolate thinly on the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Drop small spoonfuls of the green white chocolate onto the dark chocolate in a random pattern.

  8. Swirl the chocolates together with a knife, stopping when distinct brown and green areas remain.

  9. Tap the baking sheet against the counter to settle the chocolate.

  10. Sprinkle chopped mint-flavored candies over the wet chocolate and press gently.

  11. Refrigerate the tray for 30 minutes to set the chocolate.

  12. Cut the set bark into squares or break into irregular pieces.
