Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  2. Slice French bread lengthwise, placing halves on a baking sheet; optionally scoop out some soft center dough.

  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook onion for 2 minutes, add beef, brown, and drain excess liquid.

  4. Add celery and cook until tender.

  5. Stir in condensed soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; cook until heated and slightly thickened. Incorporate scooped bread dough if used.

  6. Spoon the mixture onto one bread half, spread evenly, top with shredded cheese and parsley, then cover with the other bread half.

  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese melts. Let stand for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
