Matzo Cracker Candy
A quick Passover treat features matzo crackers topped with homemade toffee, melted chocolate, and crunchy pecans, ready in about 40 minutes.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with foil and parchment paper, then arrange 5 matzo pieces in a single layer.

In a saucepan, combine 1 cup unsalted butter and 1 cup brown sugar over medium-high heat, stirring constantly; boil for five minutes.

Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the matzo.

Bake for 10 minutes until the toffee is bubbly and deeply browned.

Immediately sprinkle 2 cups chocolate chips over the hot toffee; let sit until softened, then spread into an even layer.

While warm, sprinkle with 1 cup chopped pecans and 1/2 teaspoon sea salt. Refrigerate for 10-20 minutes to cool.

Break or cut the cooled matzo cracker candy into desired pieces.
