Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

  2. Combine masa harina and salt in a bowl, then gradually add water to form a smooth, firm dough.

  3. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll them into balls.

  4. Flatten each ball into a thin tortilla shape using a press or by rolling between two sheets of wax paper.

  5. Cook each tortilla in an ungreased frying pan over moderate heat for 1-2 minutes per side until lightly browned.

  6. Wrap all cooked tortillas in aluminum foil and warm them in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
