Instructions

  1. Coat hands with powdered sugar or wear gloves, then knead marzipan until slightly soft; divide into portions if making various fruit types.

  2. For Lemons: Flatten a marzipan portion, add yellow food coloring, then knead until uniformly colored. Roll into nickel-sized balls, then elongate and taper ends to form lemon shapes. Optionally, create skin texture with a toothpick and insert a dark candy jimmy as a stem.

  3. For Oranges: Flatten a marzipan portion, add red and yellow food coloring (1:2 ratio), then knead until uniformly colored. Roll into nickel-sized balls. Optionally, create skin texture with a toothpick and insert a dark candy jimmy as a stem.

  4. For Bananas: Flatten a marzipan portion, add yellow food coloring, then knead until uniformly colored. Divide into nickel-sized balls, then roll each into a thin, curved tube, elongating one end to create a banana shape. Insert a dark candy jimmy as a stem, repeating for all banana portions.
