Marshmallow Fondant

Dust a work surface with powdered sugar and gather ingredients.

Combine 8 ounces marshmallows and 2 tablespoons water in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute until puffy, then stir until smooth. If needed, microwave for an additional 30-45 seconds until lump-free.

Incorporate 1 pound powdered sugar into the marshmallow mixture, stirring until it becomes too stiff to mix with a spatula.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared surface. Dust hands with powdered sugar and knead the mixture like bread dough until smooth and no longer sticky, adding more powdered sugar sparingly if necessary.

To color or flavor, add desired additives while kneading. For multiple colors/flavors, flatten the fondant, add the additive to the center, fold, and knead until uniform.
