Marinated London Broil

Instructions

  1. Combine garlic, red wine, sea salt, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey, black pepper, and Worcestershire in a resealable bag.

  2. Add the beef to the bag, seal, and marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours, turning occasionally.

  3. Remove steak from the marinade, pat dry, discard marinade, and let stand at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes.

  4. For grilling, prepare an oiled rack 5-6 inches over coals; for broiling, preheat the broiler and pan to high for 10 minutes.

  5. Grill for 8 to 10 minutes per side, or broil for a total of 8 to 12 minutes (turning once), until internal temperature reaches 135-140 F.

  6. Transfer steak to a cutting board, cover with foil, and rest for 10 minutes.

  7. Slice thinly across the grain at a 45-degree angle.
