Marinated Ginger Chicken for the Grill

Flavorful grilled chicken thighs are prepared using a ginger-infused marinade that also functions as a basting sauce.

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken thighs dry.

  2. Whisk together red wine vinegar, soy sauces, Asian sesame oil, ginger, garlic, scallions, brown sugar, and crushed red pepper.

  3. Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade for basting.

  4. Place chicken thighs and remaining marinade in a resealable bag; marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours, turning occasionally.

  5. Preheat the grill. Remove chicken from the bag, discarding the marinade.

  6. Grill chicken for 10 to 15 minutes, turning and basting with reserved marinade, until cooked through.

  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced red chili pepper if desired.
