Maple Leaf Candy
Maple leaf candy is a classic, two-ingredient treat crafted from maple syrup and butter, ideal for gifting.

Instructions

Lightly prepare candy molds with nonstick spray, wiping off any excess.

Pour maple syrup into a sufficiently large, heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat.

Bring syrup to a boil, then insert a candy thermometer and add butter.

Stir until butter melts, then continue cooking until the mixture reaches 240 F (soft-ball stage).

Remove from heat and cool for 2-3 minutes.

Vigorously stir the candy with a wooden spoon for 3-5 minutes until it thickens, lightens, and becomes opaque; stop stirring immediately to avoid setting.

Quickly spoon the candy into the prepared molds and smooth the tops.

Let set at room temperature for 10 minutes, then pop from molds.
