Make German Fried Meat Patties
Traditional German frikadellen are flavorful fried meat patties, simple to prepare with included variations.

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Microwave chopped onion with 1 teaspoon oil for 2-3 minutes until translucent, then cool.

In a bowl, combine softened, squeezed-dry bread pieces with meat, eggs, parsley, marjoram, salt, pepper, and cooled onion; mix thoroughly.

Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet. Form 4 patties, optionally coating them in breadcrumbs.

Fry patties in the skillet over medium-high heat until browned on both sides.

Transfer patties to a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or continue frying until cooked through.

Serve on lettuce leaves.
