Make German Fried Meat Patties

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Microwave chopped onion with 1 teaspoon oil for 2-3 minutes until translucent, then cool.

  3. In a bowl, combine softened, squeezed-dry bread pieces with meat, eggs, parsley, marjoram, salt, pepper, and cooled onion; mix thoroughly.

  4. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet. Form 4 patties, optionally coating them in breadcrumbs.

  5. Fry patties in the skillet over medium-high heat until browned on both sides.

  6. Transfer patties to a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or continue frying until cooked through.

  7. Serve on lettuce leaves.
