Make-Ahead Bacon and Egg Breakfast Casserole

A convenient bacon and egg breakfast casserole that can be prepared ahead and baked fresh in the morning for family or guests.

Instructions

  1. Arrange bread in a lightly greased 8-inch baking dish.

  2. Whisk eggs with milk, dry mustard, and dried onion.

  3. Pour egg mixture over the bread.

  4. Sprinkle bacon over the top.

  5. Cover and refrigerate until ready to bake.

  6. Remove from refrigerator and let stand 30 minutes; preheat oven to 350°F.

  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

  8. Uncover, sprinkle with cheddar, and bake 5-10 additional minutes until set (160°F).

  9. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
