Mai Tai Cocktail
An iconic tropical rum cocktail, the Mai Tai can be prepared using either its original or a contemporary recipe, perfect for any summer gathering.

Instructions

Combine rhum agricole (or alternative rum), orange curaçao, lime juice, and both orgeat and simple syrups in a shaker.

Add 2 cups crushed ice, then shake until well-chilled.

Pour mixture, unstrained, into a double old-fashioned glass.

Slowly float dark rum over the surface using the back of a bar spoon.

Garnish with a lime slice and fresh mint sprig.
