Luxurious Brioche and White Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 355 F (180 C).

  2. Grease a 2-pint (1-liter) pie dish with butter.

  3. Arrange overlapping brioche triangles in the dish and sprinkle with raisins.

  4. Heat milk and cream in a pot to a gentle simmer, then add chocolate and stir until melted.

  5. Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until combined.

  6. Slowly whisk the warm milk-chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until fully incorporated.

  7. Pour the sauce over the brioche, press the bread into the sauce, and let stand for 20 minutes.

  8. Add liquor if desired. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until risen and golden brown. Serve hot.
